So!

I have an interesting question for everyone who may want to answer, and maybe it's a little more personal than anything I would otherwise ask, but.

Say you have something you need to do. It's very very important, but you keep putting it off because it's so important that it might change your life forever as you know it! But you know it needs to be done.

Without any other context, how would you motivate yourself to do that thing? Or would you even get the nerve to do it at all?

Hmm. I guess it would depend a little on the context... but I guess we all have important things we need to do, that might be difficult to get motivated on or not be entirely fun to do, but if the change is a positive one in the long run, then I'd focus on that end goal and work out what needs to be done to reach it, maybe setting myself a specific goal each week or each month in order to reach it.

I guess maybe try and identify what's specifically stopping you from taking that step? Identify the worries you have and challenge them. If you've done all the set-up, then all you need is the courage for that one step, right?

Hmm. I can't say that I've had a situation where the result would be a huge, life-changing event, but everyone gets anxieties over doing important things and huge changes are intimidating, even if they're for the good.

It is pretty normal to procrastinate on something because you're feeling anxious over it.

I wish you luck with it though.
